This was my third consecutive year working with Long Beach pride. And even though I had the account, I had to enter a competition for each year’s theme with other designers. The theme of the year was “Your Rights, Our Rights Human Rights.” Needless to say, I won and My #artwork can be seen here on merch sold @lbpridethis was back in 2009 and I was fresh out of college. Looking back, there are some things I would’ve improved upon, but it still holds a special place in my heart, because it was the first time that I got to see my work duplicated in the real world interacting with real people and affecting the lives of every day, gay folks Really making an impact. There’s nothing like seeing work that you’ve toiled over for months, sometimes even years out in the real world. designed by @thecamrinwilliams #camrinwilliams #tshirt#design #lgbt #longbeachpride #longbeach #logodesigns
Had a blast at LA Comic-Con, the costume was made by me. Repurposed purple clothing to look like Beast Boy from DC's Teen Titan's costume. Lot's of hot glue gunning here to achieve this look. For those of you who are not familiar with the Beast Boy character well he is a shape-shifter, that can change into and have the abilities and sometimes the appetite of any animal he can think of. That's why my mask is of the kitty playing a guitar, it's from an episode of Teen Titans Go! (See below). I made three different animal mask to switch from. But I'll save the debut of the other two animal mask for San Deigo Comic-Con. Check out my photo from the teal, fuchsia, and magenta colored carpet. As I graced the premiere with none other that Shangela LaQuifa Wadley herself. The award-winning Docu-series continues where the first season left off. (A PANDEMIC) After a year an half of going dark, the series continues to create positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming atmospheres in small towns across the United States. Turning three locals into Drag Superstars for the an evening of dance and performance in front of the whole town. The series stars Bob The Drag Queen, Euerka O'Hara and Shangela. (click on their names to learn more) This series is so touching as each of the queens get to know their drag kids more intimately, meeting their friends and family. We see the struggles that each of them have to deal with usually involving being accepted for who they are, discovering their new found gender roles, and finding other queer people in their town they can relate to. It will defiantly make you reach for your Kleenex. Tune in MONDAYS on HBO + streaming next day on HBOMAX. Recently designed a website for Shangela's non-profit Feed The Queens. The organization is teaming up with The Actors Fund to give $100 grocery gift cards to out-of-work drag performers across the country. Learn more by visiting the site at www.FeedThe Queens.org
Check out We’re Here a reality docuseries on HBO staring RuPaul’s Drag Race alums; Bob The Drag Queen, Eureka O’hara and my good friend Shangela Laquifa Wadley. Airing Thursday at 9pm on HBO and HBO GO. Here are a couple of photo of me on set where I had the pleasure of working as an assistant.
HBO | 9PM Here are a few photos from a recent photo shoot with actor Kejleb Demaniow. These photo were taken in Long Beach, CA.
I have been blessed enough to travel and work with my good friend Shangela while she’s on tour... there is never a dull moment. NYC is an amazing city filled with many beautiful people, talent and energy. During some down time I was able to mosey on over to MOMA and taking in some fantastic work by Frida, Van Gogh, Picasso, Pollock, and more. I got the audio tour, which was great hearing interpretations of the arts meaning, history and insight. Their work gives me life and helps me to see there really can really be beauty from ashes. Especially knowing some of the trials, tribulations and turmoils that many of these artist faced.
I took this photo while on a foggy morning stroll in my neighborhood park. What so fun about shooting with the environment is that it's like an every evolving playground. The park's walkway was circular and revolved around the variety of trees and greenery. As I walked, the landscaped, sunlight and perspective all shifted. Firing off millions of possibilities in my brain for creative breakthroughs with every step I took. I kept my eye on what trees might stand out, and what caught my eye. I walked and walked until finally these these three trees alined with such perfect balance.
